The Inspiration: The concept for "Backseat Dreaming" was born during a drive through Downtown Houston. Looking up at the skyline and absorbing the energy of the city-life sparked the idea of a daydreaming scenario—capturing that universal feeling of looking toward the "good life" while being surrounded by the architecture of success. The resulting sound is intentionally uplifting and atmospheric to mirror that urban wonder.
The Process: This project was a complete end-to-end production. I utilized FL Studio for the initial beat creation, synth programming, and the tracking of all real instruments and vocals. To ensure a professional, commercial-grade finish, I transferred the session to Pro Tools. This hybrid workflow allowed for creative fluidity during the writing phase while leveraging the surgical precision of Pro Tools for the final mix and master.
