In this project, I explored three career paths: Studio Audio Engineer, Audio & Visual Technician, and Broadcast Technician, showcasing how each role aligns with my goals in the industry. The final deliverable was a visual presentation that included job descriptions, career insights, professional interviews, and a detailed reflection. This project not only broadened my career perspective but also strengthened my skills in research, design, and presentation delivery.
The research phase involved a deep dive into the technical requirements and daily operations of studio engineering, broadcast environments, and AV tech roles. By conducting professional interviews and performing a SWOT analysis, I was able to identify the core competencies needed to thrive as an entrepreneur and engineer in today's multi-faceted audio landscape.
Recording my final presentation using OBS Studio gave me valuable insight into the process of live production and video delivery. I learned how to manage scene transitions, adjust audio quality, and optimize my setup for screen recording.
This experience pushed me to take control of the technical and visual aspects of my work, reinforcing my adaptability and confidence in front of the camera. It also gave me new appreciation for professionals who manage live and recorded media daily.
