The Concept: This project involved the development of a single speaker podcast centered on the technical history of recording. The goal was to provide a technical yet engaging overview of how recording practices have evolved from early mechanical phonographs to modern digital workstations, emphasizing the major technological leaps that shaped the industry.

The Process: I managed the entire production cycle, starting with high fidelity vocal tracking. Operating in Logic Pro, I focused heavily on speech specific processing to ensure professional clarity and authority. This included surgical EQ to remove resonance, transparent compression to manage vocal dynamics, and precise gain staging to maintain a consistent broadcast ready level throughout the episode.

The Challenge: The primary hurdle was maintaining listener engagement in a single voice format. Without guest interaction or music beds to hide behind, the vocal performance and the mix had to be flawless. I utilized clinical editing to remove mouth noises and filler words, creating a seamless, authoritative flow that reflected the historical significance of the topic.
